KOULOURINO is the official name the client chose for a new cafe opening in Athens, Greece. KOULERS is the initial proposal that I suggested. Koulers is a wordplay playing off the traditional Greek bagel called “koulouri” and the word “cool.” The design of the brand focuses on this “koul” aspect and tunes in with the laid-back greek culture with illustrations of various “koul” 60’s inspired illustrations. The illustrations center around the “koulouri” with various characters partaking in “koul” activities. Although the final logo chosen was more complex, the logo here is clean and simple to allow these illustrations to come through.
